A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER
The Dodrill Foundation for Personalized Oncology was founded to confront a reality I witnessed repeatedly: patients facing cancer too often lack access to the advanced diagnostics and emerging innovations that could meaningfully inform their treatment. Critical information is dispersed across systems, important data is overlooked, and families are left to make complex decisions without the clarity they deserve.
The Foundation exists to change that. Our mission is to remove barriers to cutting-edge testing, integrate research-driven insights into patient care, and ensure that individuals come to their oncology teams with the knowledge and preparation required for substantive, informed dialogue. This work is not intended to replace the physician’s expertise, but to complement it; streamlining information, supporting collaborative decision-making, and broadening access to options that extend beyond the standard of care.
I believe that by equipping patients with clarity and oncologists with organized, evidence-grounded data, we create the conditions for a more personalized, more effective model of cancer care. That vision is the driving force behind this Foundation and the commitment I bring to every patient and family we serve.

HONORING THE LIFE OF SHERRY DODRILL
OUR STORY
The Dodrill Foundation carries the name of Sherry Dodrill, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in the fall of 2023. With a terminal prognosis, she chose palliative care rather than chemotherapy, and together we turned to repurposed drugs and supportive therapies. This approach nearly tripled the time she was expected to have, and more importantly, gave Sherry and her family the ability to make decisions that honored their values and wishes. Every step was guided with clarity, compassion, and respect for what mattered most to her. Sherry passed away in the summer of 2024, but her path became the foundation of our purpose. In the months that followed, I began to work with other patients in the same way, bringing the same intensity, attention, and depth of care. What became clear was how much this kind of support was needed, and how much families had already given up to fight for more time and better quality of life. Asking for payment in those moments felt deeply wrong. The Dodrill Foundation was created so that others could receive this level of support without the burden of cost standing in the way. Sherry’s story showed what becomes possible when care is personal, informed, and deeply engaged. The Foundation carries her legacy forward, offering patients and families the clarity, education, and guidance that can change the course of their experience with cancer.
OUR VISION
We envision a model of cancer care in which every patient’s therapeutic course is informed by real-time biology, mechanistic insight, and access to clinically validated adjunct interventions. Our approach aims to redefine expectations and enhance survival, well-being, and patient empowerment in cancer treatment.
OUR MISSION
Our mission is to fundamentally elevate cancer care by providing patients and their oncology teams with access to personalized complementary strategies powered by precision diagnostics. Rooted in molecular, immunologic, and metabolic data, our work serves as a clinical interface for patients navigating complex, treatment-resistant, or incompletely managed disease. Through rigorous scientific validation and compassionate guidance, we seek to optimize patient outcomes and improve overall quality of life, filling critical gaps left by conventional oncology practices.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Our philosophy centers around the principle that optimal cancer care is not a one-size-fits-all approach. Each patient presents with unique molecular drivers, immune-metabolic terrain, and clinical context that demand a tailored approach. By integrating rigorous diagnostics, evidence-supported complementary therapies, and strategic planning, we aim to enhance the efficacy of conventional treatment and extend therapeutic possibility. We firmly believe collaboration with oncology teams and informed patient participation are essential to achieving the best possible outcomes.
We recognize that oncology is often constrained by formulary restrictions, reimbursement models, and limited clinical bandwidth. Our role is to bridge those gaps by synthesizing emerging evidence and providing structure and clarity for patients navigating complex or incomplete care landscapes. Collaborative alignment with oncology teams and informed patient participation are essential to this process.
